The team is made up of experienced painters and skilled crew members who take pride in their work. Each project is supported by clear planning, on-site supervision, and a shared commitment to professionalism. This ensures consistent results across small jobs and large, multi-phase projects alike.

Grae Dickason

Founder

Grae Dickason founded Home Pro Painting and built it from the ground up through hands-on experience in every part of the painting business. He was deeply involved in the work, the people, and the values that shaped the company. Although Grae passed away in 2022, his commitment to quality, integrity, and professionalism remains at the heart of Home Pro Painting today.

Luis Camacho

Owner

Luis Camacho brings over 19 years of experience in leadership and professional painting to Home Pro Painting. After managing a sales team for Loctite in Colombia, he and his family moved to Canada and began a new chapter on Vancouver Island. Having worked closely with Grae for over three years as Foreman, Luis now leads the company with a strong focus on quality, efficiency, and carrying forward the standards and values that define Home Pro Painting. Outside of work, he enjoys playing Spanish guitar, singing, and spending time in the natural beauty of Vancouver Island.

Sam Benhallam

Business Manager

Sam manages Home Pro Painting with an owner’s mindset and is the main point of contact for clients from start to finish. From the first site visit and estimate to project completion and follow-up, he stays involved to keep communication clear and projects running smoothly.

With a background in sales and customer service, Sam focuses on honest advice, organization, and problem-solving. He works closely with the crews and spends time on job sites to better understand the work and ensure each project meets Home Pro Painting’s standards.

Outside of work, Sam enjoys exploring back logging trails, going for runs, and volunteering with ElderDog to help senior dogs and their owners.

We were very impressed with the quality of their work and their attention to detail. They wrapped and protected cabinets and flooring before painting, as well as a large bush in the back yard against the shed. They walked us through the work at the end of each day, giving us the opportunity to ask any questions or to make any comments. The final walk through was thorough and the last couple of touch ups were completed a couple of days later. The crew were very friendly and patient, and easy to work with. The house was spotless after the clean up at the end of both jobs. I would absolutely recommend the Home Pro crew; they exceeded our expectations.
